Phyllis Smith Rhodecap, age 90, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was born on September 2, 1933 in Orange County, VA daughter of Irving and Annie Watson Smith. Phyllis enjoyed her different roles in customer service with Sears in Greensboro, NC over the years. She was a member of the former Hunter Hills Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with family and preparing meals for everyone to enjoy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Webb Miller Rhodecap, daughter, Katherine Rhodecap Thomas and brother Carlton Major Smith.
Phyllis is survived by her sister; Betty Powell, two grandchildren, Ivey Thomas Shankle of Randleman, Matt Thomas and wife Ashley of Kernersville and great grandson, Gage Michael Baynes.
Graveside service will be held 1:00pm Tuesday May 21, 2024 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407 with Pastor Jason Frank officiating.
