Phyllis Biederman, 93, died peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours Saturday July 13, 2024.
She was born in Cleveland, OH to Walter and Dora Siegel, the fifth of six children. She worked as a bookkeeper intermittently over the years and also in a craft shop. Phyllis loved crafts and enjoyed sewing and knitting. After retiring, she worked as a hospital volunteer and often knitted hats for newborns as well as cancer patients.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anne Siegel and Lenore Beller, brothers Harvey Siegel, Stanley Siegel, Daniel Siegel and her beloved cat, Wally.
She is survived by her sons Jay Biederman (Kathy) of Renton, WA and Ira Biederman (Donna) of Burlington, NC, and grandchildren Daniel and Erin Biederman of Renton, WA. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice, particularly Jennifer Zachary, for providing comfort to Phyllis in her final days.
