Peggy Ann Maynard

There will be a private gathering held at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church for family and close friends.

Survivors include daughter, Suzy Maynard Collins (husband, Jeff Collins), son, William Alan Maynard (wife, Carol Ann Maynard), grandchildren Brandon Maynard, Lindsey Akeefe (husband, Nate Akeefe), Blair Reddick (husband, Dillon Reddick), Devon Collins (fiancé, Lucas Perez), Alexia Maynard and great-grandchildren,Natalyn Akeefe, Nolan Akeefe, and Nixon Akeefe. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband William Henry Maynard and her parents Stella and Omer Pegram.

Peggy was born in Oak Ridge, NC on June 12th, 1934. A graduate of Rankin High School who dedicated many years of service to the Blue Bell Corporation until her retirement. She was a skilled craftsman, often showcasing her talents as a seamstress, gardener and baker. Friends and family will remember her sharp wit, creativity, and generosity. Peggy was an avid reader, puzzle master, coffee connoisseur and enjoyed traveling the United States. A devoted mother and grandmother who will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on her behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Hospice of Randolph, or Mount Pisgah United Methodist Bereavement Fund.
