Peggy Sue Kimbro Hunt, 91, a resident of the Sedgefield Community in Greensboro, passed away on Thursday February 1, 2024. She was born December 4, 1932 in Caswell County, the daughter of Julius Arthur Kimbro, Sr. and Minnie Margaret Lunsford Kimbro.
Peggy was married to Billy L. Hunt who preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Russell Kimbro, Carlton Kimbro and Julius Arthur Kimbro, Jr.
Peggy was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. At one time she was active in the United Methodist Women, sang in the choir, and substituted in the preschool program.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise Hunt Clark and husband Terry of High Point; Jan Hunt MacDonald of Greensboro; one son, Bill Hunt and wife Lisa of Greensboro; six grandchildren, Ryan Clark and wife Meagan; Meredith MacDonald; Tyler Clark and wife Ashley, Nathan MacDonald; Corbin Hunt and wife Micayla; Paige Hunt and fiancée Trey Barrow; five great grandchildren; 3 nephews; and 2 nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 5, 2024 at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
