Colfax: Pearl Kraay, nee Santefort, 95, passed away on May 19, 2023. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Pearl was preceded in death by her dear husband Robert, their sons Brad and Daniel, and grandson Robert. In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by all her brothers - Lucas, Albert, William, Harold, Ralph and Raymond, and all her sisters - Janette, Lorraine, Lavern and Dorothy.
Pearl was committed to her faith in God and always spent time with her Savior reading and studying His word. A loving wife to Robert (Bob), they created a special life for their two boys moving twenty-six times across our country making many friends and experiences in New Jersey, Kansas, Arizona, Illinois, and many others before moving to the Greensboro area - twice. They loved golf and played all over the world on their many travels.
In Greensboro, Pearl devoted much of her time to the arts, particularly the Greensboro Symphony Guild, the Greensboro Opera, UNCG, and Triad Stage, among others. She made friends everywhere she went and treasured them all. Pearl lived at River Landing for many years and was a special volunteer in many places and loved her role welcoming others to River Landing. She was a very special lady and loved by her family and many friends, she will be dearly missed.
