The family will welcome Tony’s friends and others at a reception and viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4211 Wayne Road, Greensboro, NC 27407 with inurnment in the Columbarium at the church.
Tony’s career was highlighted by his skill as a chef in several Greensboro restaurants and later as part of staff at an estate home in High Point.
His favorite pastime was golf, which he played well and held a low handicap. For a brief period, he worked as assistant in the pro shop at Bryan Park Golf Course.
He is survived by two sons; Zachary Coble and Seth Coble, both of Denver, CO; a daughter, Megan Coble of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters, Penny Mashburn of Franklinville, NC and Nancy Stowe of Gastonia, NC; his father, Henry L. Coble and stepmother Ruth S. Coble of High Point, NC.
Two brothers, Henry L. Coble III and John P. Coble and his mother, Marilyn P. Coble preceded him in death.
