Greensboro, NC: Patrick, the son of David and Julie Herring died peacefully on December 7, 2011. He was a graduate of Greensboro Day School and UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in English and was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Patrick was as a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He had many talents and gifts and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by father, David Bryan Herring, grandmothers Elizabeth Hawks Herring and Barbara McLelland Smith and stepfather Nicholas (Andy) Oglesby.
He is survived by his mother, Julie Smith Chambers, brother, William Brett Herring; grandfathers, Dr. William B. Herring and William L. Smith; aunts Myra B Brown (Bugsy) and Dr. Jenny G. Smith (Stephen L. Smoller), uncle Ronald G. Smith and cousin Joseph Mason Smoller.
