Mrs. Opal Cave Bergman, 92 passed away suddenly on Monday September 18th, 2017 at Vera Springs Assisted Living, Greensboro, NC
She was born on April 24th, 1925 in Dobson North Carolina to John D. and Elise Cave. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Henry Lee (H.L.) Bergman, son David Bergman, brother “Buster” Cave and grandson Johnny Bergman.
She is survived by daughter Barbara Bergman Smith of High Point and son, Michael L. Bergman of Oak Island.
Ms. Bergman has six living Grandchildren, Yvonne Smith Hamilton, Sandra Smith Ruppert, Lorie Smith Davis, David Bergman, Jr. Elise Bergman and Katie Bergman and 12 great grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 20th at Guilford Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be at 1:00 pm until service time at the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel prior to the graveside service.
Opal was a member of Muir's Chapel Methodist Church and the Rev. Dan Money and the Reverend Brenda Newman will officiate the graveside service.
