Olga Plocki, 90, passed away Saturday November 4, 2023, at the Heritage Greens Memory Care Facility in Greensboro, NC where she had resided for the past two years. She was born April 4, 1933, in Natrona Heights, PA to Stephen and Anna Dodek of Czechoslovakia.
She graduated high school from the Vincentian Academy near Pittsburgh, PA which was an all-girls college preparatory Catholic boarding school.
Olga was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC and retired from Terry Labonte Chevrolet after thirty-nine years as the title clerk.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur Plocki who died in 2014. Olga is survived by her daughter Deborah and her husband James Pearman of Greensboro; son Gary Plocki and his wife Deanna of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Audrey Humble (husband Neil), Daniel Pearman and Stephen and Alex Plocki; and three great-grandchildren, Brody Pearman and Garrett and Sidney Humble.
Olga loved to watch golf and ice hockey and collected many autographs of her favorite players. She loved to dance, especially the polka.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Greens for all the love and care she received while in their facility. A special thanks to the people at AuthoraCare Hospice for all the support and care they gave her these last few months.
The family will receive guests Monday morning, November 13, 2023 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 1900 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, NC 27403 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:15 pm. There will be a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery following at 1:00 pm.
