Nancy A. Smith

Nancy A. Smith, 67, passed away on July 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Guilford County on Oct. 7, 1952, the daughter of Clinton and Mary Ruth Sewell Slaydon. She was a loving mother and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Slaydon and mother, Mary Ruth Slaydon and sister, Kathryne Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her significant other, Wayne King; children, Oliver Jay Smith, Jr. (Margaret Smith), John Adam Smith (Colleen Valdes), Anna C. Hendren (Brian Smith); grandchildren, Nikole Smith Paul (Chris Paul), Brandon Smith (Kayden Cann), Amanda Smith, Oliver Adam Smith, Connor Valdes, Keegan Valdes, Mason Valdes, Trevor Valdes, Ryleigh Smith, Brooke Hendren, Cameron Carroll; great grandchild, Cohen Paul and Grayson Pullian; nieces, Crystal Money, Tammy Francis, Gene Chandler; great nieces and nephews, Alexis Money, Caleb Money, Eric Mathis, Corey Francis, Dylan Francis, Clinton Chandler, Isabella Chandler.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, July 19th, 2:00 pm at the Mausoleum Chapel at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.
