Mrs. Nancy Cope Peeler, 81, a resident of High Point, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Hospice Home of High Point. She was born October 30, 1936 in Davie County, the daughter of Thomas Radford and Ora Lee Summers Cope.
Nancy was a member of the graduating Class of 1954 at Boyden High School in Salisbury. She retired from Eckerd Drug and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Greensboro.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Ann Odell; a brother, James Warren Cope, a grandson, Joshua Crowder, and a son-in-law, Larry Barham.
Nancy is survived by her husband, David Calvin Peeler, Sr.; one daughter, Deborah Barham of Greensboro; two sons, David Calvin Peeler, Jr. and wife Cathy of Hattiesburg, MS; Thomas “Andy” Peeler and wife Wendy of High Point; grandchildren, Melissa Dodson and husband Phil of Bradenton, FL; Jennifer Reddick and husband Jesse of Greensboro; Drew Peeler of Gainesville, FL; Tonya White and husband Brad of Lakeland, TN; Step-grandchildren Angelia Martin of High Point and Corey Martin of High Point; Great-grandchildren, Kayla, Lindsay, Alex, Jonathan, Audrey, Chloe, Rayelyn; Great-great grandchildren Ty and Eli; one sister, Brenda C. Fort and husband Bill of Knoxville, TN and one brother, Tommy Cope and wife Kitty of Morristown, TN.
Inurnment services will be held 9:00 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery Columbarium in Salisbury, NC conducted by Pastor Tom Warren, senior minister at Peace United Church of Christ.
