She is also predeceased by her husband, Harry Frazier III, brother, James Roland Myers, Jr., and first husband James Anderson Selph, Jr. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Janet Moyers, Carol Wobby (Dan), Diane Selph, Susan Gresham; her grandchildren, Nancy Moyers, Helen Moyers, Thomas Wobby (Ainsley), Joann Wobby, Lawton Gresham, and William Gresham; and a great grandson, Brayden Moyers. All who knew Nancy will remember her generous nature, boundless positive energy, sense of humor, and love of life.
In 1985, Nancy earned her real estate license and joined Bowers Nelms & Fonville, now Long & Foster Realtors. For over thirty years, she excelled in her career and was recognized for numerous achievements, most notably RAR Distinguished Achiever and top agent at both companies year after year. Her peers admired and respected her and will remember her professionalism, fun competitive nature, quick wit, and expressive sign language. Nancy retired from real estate in 2016 and moved to Greensboro, NC to live near one of her daughters.
Nancy was passionate about helping others and gave considerable time to causes close to her heart, including St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, St. Catherine’s School, Children’s Hospital, The Junior League, The Women’s Club, Westminster-Canterbury Foundation, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
There was more to Nancy than her career and volunteerism. She always made time for her family, including the Fraziers and Richards. She cherished her grandchildren, supporting their various activities and traveling with them on numerous excursions. The family has many fond memories of gatherings at her house, which were always full of love and excitement.
In her free time Nancy could not sit still; she valued being physically active, well into her eighties. She was an avid tennis player and lifelong dancer. She loved hiking, bike riding, and all kinds of water sports. Nancy had an adventurous spirit and traveled to faraway destinations, but the place she cherished most was Martha’s Vineyard, where she savored her time with family and friends every summer. When Nancy was not on the move, she loved to read, listen to music, and lovingly dote on all of the family dogs.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on November 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm, followed by a church reception. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.act.alz.org.
