Myrtle Beatrice "Bea" Ward

Bea was born in Guilford County on December 15, 1942, the daughter of John Tobias and Mary Sue McNabb Hunt Sr. She worked with Flowers Bakery for 15 years and then with Jamestown Park until her retirement. She moved with her family to Shallotte in 1999. Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, Paul B. Ward of the home; children, Kandye Bass of Level Cross, NC, Terrie Pruitt and husband Eddie of Reidsville, NC, Hallie Ward and wife Sharon of Greensboro, NC and Jacob Ward of Shallotte, NC; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will received family and friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel and at other times at the home of Ginger and Eddie Hendrick.
