Mildred Thomas

Mildred was married to Ronald Thomas who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathryn Patterson Stanley and her three brothers, Jesse, Dave and Bill Patterson.

Mildred is survived by her children, Sharon York Schoeneck and husband David of Kingwood, Texas, Gary York of Greensboro, Mark York and wife Deborah of Albemarle; two grandchildren, Annette York, Havem York; five great grandchildren, William Nall, Breanna York, Samantha York, Levi York, Aubrey York and one great-great granddaughter, Katie York.

Mildred was a homemaker and loving mother who enjoyed being around her family and the simple things in life. She will truly be missed by her family and everyone that knew her.

A Service to Celebrate Mildred’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Chaplin Craig S. Walker. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice Home at High Point for taking such good care of Mildred during our mother’s trying time of her life. We would also like to thank Dr. Feng and her nursing staff for trying their very best of treating our mother’s needs.
