Michael was born on September 12, 1951 in Guilford County, the son of Edward B. and Audrey Brown Wrike. He graduated from Ragsdale High School and Wingate College.
Michael held several patents for inline skate frames. He owned and operated Rike Industries in Jamestown for several years. He also worked in sales with Piedmont Peterbuilt Truck Sales and was associated with Big Daddy Off Road of Charlotte. Before his health declined, Michael was planning to start Scorpion Off Road.
Michael is survived by three children; Jessica Nicole Wrike and Stephen Roof of High Point, NC, Matthew E. Wrike and Laura Ashley Wrike, both of Jamestown, NC; sister, Elaine Miller of Greensboro, NC ; grandchildren, Danielle Ashby and Wyatt Roof.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
