Michael (Mike) Condon passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 28, surrounded by family. Mike is survived by his wife, Patricia, his three daughters, Kelly Lanzi, Erin Henry and Shannon Ward. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three siblings and their spouses, Phil and Barbara Condon, Kathleen and Craig Vance and Christine and Charles Onasch.
Mike spent thirty years with IBM designing computers (including the PS/2) and working in robotics. He retired at the age of 50 as Director of Technical Operations with over 400 employees working for him. He went on to work for ten more years in other capacities for technological companies as Vice-President, CTO, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of Operations for a sonar company that worked directly with the military.
Upon his final retirement, Mike devoted himself fully to his passion of woodworking and was a master craftsman. Throughout his lifetime he furnished nearly his entire home and built furniture for family and friends. He also indulged in his other great love, his family.
Mike was talented, humble and kind. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
