Michael Lane Byrd

Michael Lane Byrd, 59, unexpectedly passed away, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC. A service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 am with Reverend Dr. Craven E. Williams officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Haywood Duke Room at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

Michael was born in Dunn, NC to the late Howard and Doris Sutton Byrd. He graduated from Lillington High School in 1974. Michael had a successful business career as owner of J. Michael’s Salon for over 30 years. Michael and Keith were married on August 3, 2013 in Orcas Island, Washington.

Survivors include: Peyton Keith Hyler, husband, brothers: Boyd and wife Norma, Dean and wife Debbie both of Bunnlevel, NC; stepdaughters; Ashley Rizzatto and husband Duke and Britney Plonese and husband Josh both of Illinois, four grandchildren; beloved nieces; Angela B. Buie and Amy B. Williams; Aunt, Janet Howard; Uncle Pat Sutton and many beloved nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd, #200, Cary, NC 27513 or the Guildford Green Foundation, 301 South Elm Street, Suite 312, Greensboro, NC 27401.
