It is a joy to have met Mary! The last time I saw her was at Jayson and Liz's wedding. She always made me laugh. She fought hard and had determination about her. Judy and family, we love you. you all are in our thoughts and prayers!!!!

I met Mary so many years ago-I can't remember when!  I spent many happy hours with her riding horses as a teenager.  She was a wonderful person with a quick wit.  She will be missed.

We all have lost a once in a lifetime friend.  Mary was unique and very special.  She has been so brave and courageous in her fight!  She will always be an inspiration to me and my family.  She will always be in our hearts.

Mary and I became close friends while at Greensboro Day School. She could always make everyone laugh. She will be missed.

Tarheels, Harry Potter, pirates, and traveling were the topics each Christmas with aunt Mary and I. The latest movies were also high on the list. I will miss our conversations, your laugh, and fun loving personality. I pray God is taking great care of you now.

I met Mary when Priestley began to manage the townhome community  where I lived. One day, I sat with her in her office and we had a long discussion on a variety of topics; however, I knew I liked her when she began to talk about how much she loved animals, especially her cat. God bless her and all those who knew and loved Mary. May you be comforted by your memories of her during this difficult time.

From First Presbyterian Church kindergarten and throughout her life Mary remained the same.  She was true to herself and true to you if you were lucky to be her friend.  She never had a bad word to say about anyone.  Mary, my parents adored you. I remember when you told me about your cancer. You said I'm ready bring the chemo on! I know you fought the brave fight.  I will miss running into you om my trips to Greensboro.  Now may you be surrounded by God's love and peace.

I met Mary when she became the property manager for the community where I live. She quickly became a friend - bright, efficient, delightfully witty, and a Tar Heel fan - who could ask for more? I am so saddened to learn of her passing, and I send my sincere sympathy to her family and life long friends.

Mary was the first manager I had the privilege of working with at Priestley Management. She was truly a very special person and even though it was a work relationship my wife and I considered her a friend. Mary, you will be missed.

Mary was one of the brightest spots in my working career. While our paths crossed less frequently during the past twenty-five years, they did cross occasionally and it was always uplifting. Yes, she was so special.

Mary truly enjoyed life, family, and friends.  She was so much fun, and the life of the party. She was quick witted, smart, and loved her Tarheels and NASCAR. She will be sorely missed in her in neighborhood. She was one of the bravest people I have ever known.  Hate we didn't get that last trip to Acropolis; OPA, my sweet friend.  I will think of you every time I go there.....

Mary always knew how to make you laugh and smile. Her ray of sunshine will be missed, but the heavenly skies will shine brighter.

Mary worked hard, enjoyed life,and deeply cared for her family, friends, and pets. She was intelligent, fun loving and quick witted. I will truly miss her.

When we look back on our fondest childhood and teenage memories, there are always a select few special friends that rise to the surface of your memory.  One of those special friends for me was Mary.  She was no doubt unique in so many ways, and she was  always there for me. She was always generous, and she even shared her beloved Cisco with me - allowing me to ride him whenever I wanted.   I spent many wonderful days at the Milligans, where the door was always open. Mary was family to me - and even though we lived in different places as adults, whenever we had the occasion to get together, it was like no time at all had passed from those days of hangin' around the barn...or just chillin' in her driveway.  I love her so much and she will always be a part of my heart.   'til we meet again MJM!

Mary was a true friend.  I will always cherish the many memories of fun times we had!

In 1967 I met a little girl named Mary Julia Milligan in the 4 year old kindergarden class at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.  Little did I know she and I would remain pals for the next 47 years or so.  

We often went our separate ways when younger but we got to know each other even better as young adults during and after college… That's when the good times really rolled!

Every time I paid Mary a visit, we both laughed, gossiped, and got caught up on current events in each other's lives.  She always took such a great interest in my sons and listened to my tales with great intent.  

When I go back to Greensboro now, things won't be the same.  Sure, I still have family and friends there, but no one quite like Mary.  I loved her like a sister and will miss and think of her often.  RIP sweet girl!  Skip
