Mary Pugh Carder Jenkins

Mary Carder Jenkins, age 95, of Greensboro, North Carolina went to meet her Lord on Sunday, July 16. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and, a devout member of Pinecroft Baptist Church for over 40 years. Her church was her second family and brought her great joy. Mary graduated high school in Washington County Tennessee and received a Diploma of Biblical Studies from the Servant Bible Institute.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William H. Carder and later by her husband of 18 years, Harold Jenkins. Other family members that have passed before her were Jim Pugh and Joy Holleman. Mary is survived by siblings, David Pugh, Shirley Pugh, Chirp Pugh, Paula Davis as well as three sons, William Carder, Jr. (Wanda), Kenneth Carder(Mary), Richard Carder, and grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Steven, Patrick and Hayley Carder. She is also a great-grandmother to Madison, Lily, and Nathan.

The family will receive friends and loved ones July 20, 2023 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Mary will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pinecroft Baptist Church, 2022 W Vandalia Rd. Greensboro, NC 27407.
