Mary Lorraine Dodds

Greensboro - Mrs. David Gregg Dodds, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. George Deutschmann was born November 4, 1916 in Owatonna Minnesota and died September 19, 2018 at Well-Spring in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Sarah Carver officiating. A reception will follow at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel in the Lineberry Center. Interment will be in the church columbarium.

In 1951 she and David Gregg Dodds were married in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lorraine and David moved to Greensboro in 1953. In 1964 she and her husband opened Karat Gold Corner. She became a member and then Fellow of the American Gem Society and a certified gemologist appraiser. When she was 95, she retired from Karat Gold Corner and closed the shop.

She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro, North Carolina where her ashes will be interred.

Her sisters, Dorothy Stormoen of Alberta Lea, Minnesota and Eileen Wilcox of Independence, Missouri as well as sixteen nieces and nephews survive her.
