Mary Ann Ceh, 62, of Greensboro, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at The Randolph Hospice House. She battled with cancer for 8 short months before succumbing to the illness. She was the loving wife of Jim Ceh and mother of Jennie, Carrie, Andy and Robby.
Born on September 2, 1960 in Satellite Beach, FL and was the daughter of Joseph George Pietrantoni and Marilyn Joyce Kalode Pietrantoni. Mary worked in hotel management for both Marriott and Hyatt as well as teaching Phys Ed at St. Veronica Catholic School in Fairfax, VA. She was a member of St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church in Greensboro. Mary Ann was recently professed as a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. The charity closest to her heart is the Wake the World Foundation event which she started at Kerr Lake nearly 10 years ago. The event involved inviting children from a local Masonic Home to introduce them to the sport of wake boarding. She loved the smiles and excitement of the kids and those who helped her organize and host the event.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband James Earl Ceh; daughters, Jennifer Alyse Ceh Ropp and husband Allen of Winston-Salem and Carrie Ann Ceh of Ft. Wayne, IN; sons, Andrew Stephen Ceh of Raleigh and Robert James Ceh of Raleigh; brother Joseph George Pietrantoni, II and wife Robin of Durham and John Thomas Pietrantoni and wife Nancy of Birmingham, AL; aunt, Elaine Kalode Stoner and husband Tim of Vero Beach, FL; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church with a reception following the service. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7 pm on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, North Elm Chapel.
