Marshall Lee Martin

Marshall was born on October 30, 1926 in Lenoir, NC, the son of Lawrence E. and Rosie Triplett Martin. He served his country in the US Army. Following his military service, he then worked with the US Postal Service and retired from the Bulk Mail Center with 30 years of service.

Marshall enjoyed working in his flower garden and playing golf. He was a member of West Market United Methodist Church. Marshall was a loving father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Marshall is survived by two daughters; Debra Farrar and husband Tony and Kristy Williams and husband Mark, all of Greensboro, NC; special friend, Mary Moore of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Jeff Webster and wife Leanne, Brian Farrar and wife April, Jason Farrar and wife Amber, Lindsay Penninger and husband Walter Penninger V, and Macey Smith; great grandchildren; Caleb Webster, Makenzie Webster, Chloe Hohn, Haylee Farrar, and Walter Penninger VI and his ‘four legged friend’ Molly.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel..
