Mark Rimes McGinn

Born in Greensboro on September 7, 1955, Mark attended St. Pius X Elementary School and Page High School before graduating from UNC-G in the Clothing and Textiles Program. After graduation, he began his much-loved career in retail clothing—spending three years at Bloomindales in Manhattan, and then moving back to Greensboro to join his family business at Brownhill’s.

Mark was a loving father with a giving heart and a kind, nurturing spirit.

He was a consummate salesman. Through his work, he truly enjoyed helping the men and women of Greensboro look good and feel great. He especially loved assisting his “Brownhill’s Brides.”

Mark was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Jack McGinn.

He is survived by his daughter, Rimes McGinn and her fiancé Jon Kirk. He is also remembered by his siblings: Lisa and Bill Glass, Tom McGinn, Mimi McGinn and Jim Posey; his extended family: Dolly McGinn, Sarah Glass, Marlee and Matthew Foster, Sam Glass, Tavis McGinn, Dara and Nash Page, and Heather and Mariah Posey; and a large community of friends whom he loved and who loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12th at 11:00am at St Pius X Church. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 11th from 6-8pm at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, North Elm St.
