Visitation will be held at Old Fellowship Hall at First Moravian Church at 10 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday October 14, 2017. The funeral service will be at noon. Committal services will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Mrs. Sanginite was a native of Greensboro, the daughter of Robert Douglas and Minnie Louise Hilton Hayworth. She was a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School and worked for Pilot Life Insurance and Ruzicka Bookbinding Company before marriage. She was a member of First Moravian Church, the Agape Circle and sang in the choir. A humanitarian that enjoyed volunteering, she served at Potter's House for twenty years as well as participating in Mobile Meals. She was active in the Glenwood Community Watch and was instrumental in establishing the Ruth A Steelman Park. Her compassion for animals translated into a deep love for her many pets. She spent a lot of her time socializing with family and friends and could be found at the Coliseum Café every Friday evening. She was also a member of the Greater Greensboro Chapter of the American Ex-POWs.
Mrs. Sanginite was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Antonio (Tony) Sanginite, sisters, Louise Hayworth Fagan, Dorothy Alma Grant, Madeline Manning and brothers Julius Hayworth, Robert Douglas "Dick" Hayworth, Jr. and Tommy Hayworth.
Mrs. Sanginite is survived by her daughter, Toni Lynn Burroughs and her husband Randolph Price of Huntersville, NC, grandchildren Thomas Price, Dr. Robert Price and a precocious cat named Nora.
Mrs. Sanginite is also survived by her extended family of nieces and nephews: Charles and Dr. Jane McKinney, Justin McKinney, James (Jim) and Pam Grant, Kent and Beth Carter, Marian Carter, Lieutenant Colonel Christian Carter, Joanna Carter, Alec Carter, Shelton Carter, Nell and James Parlier, Eleanor Barrett, Eddie and Emily Fagan, Vince Mastanduno, Gene Hayworth, Steve and Claire Wilson, Doug and Val Wilson, Alan and Betty Wilson, Sandra and Robert Martin, Lisa and Brian McCulloch, sister-in-law Carol Hayworth and longtime family friend Bill Arkins.
The family wishes to thank her loving caregivers, Teresa Allred, Sandy Dugan, Starsha Gregory, special support friends, Willie McClure, Dr. James Kim and his staff and Mary Prevost at Greensboro Medical.
