Malvena (Shinn) Sheppard

Malvena Steele Shinn Sheppard, age 99, passed away peacefully at Clapps Nursing Center on Nov 17, 2022. Mal was a graduate of Women's College (UNCG) Class of 1943. She taught school in Orange, Randolph and Guilford County for over 30 years. Mal was an avid artist and loved to travel. Her sense of humor and joy for life was abundant. Family Visitation will be at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407 on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church, 4475 Rehobeth Church Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406. She is survived by her sons, Tracy and Dean; daughter, Cathy (Michael) Gallardy; grandchildren, Mickela (Fabian) Gallardy and Aaron (Megan) Gallardy; great-grandsons, Ayrton, Jackson and Massimo; and her dearly loved niece, Sue (Ken) Washington.
