Lynette R. Goode

A native of Greensboro, Lynette was born on March 9, 1938, the daughter of Baxter H. and Iva McClendon Russell. She graduated with the class of 1956 from Greensboro Senior High School. Lynette was a designer in the Craft Industry and a member of Rolling Roads Baptist Church. She loved crafts of all types, sewing, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 55 years, Wayne; daughters, Terri Goode of Greensboro, NC and Taja Mahaffey and husband Bobby of Summerfield, NC; grandchildren, Jordan and Nick Mahaffey; sister, Sandra Taylor and husband Ronald of Greensboro, NC and brother Larry Russell and wife Vickie of Siler City, NC and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Lynette’s life will be held on Friday, June 21st, 2:00 p.m. at Rolling Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Russ Moyer officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
