Greensboro- Mrs. Lois Sink Brown, 81, peacefully passed to Heaven to join her loving husband and her Savior on September 25, 2013. She had been in declining health for several years, enduring a great deal but valiantly fought a good fight and now her suffering is over. Graveside services will be at 3PM, September 28 at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friend from 6 to 8 PM today at the funeral home.
Lois was born in Guilford County to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Feree and Florence Virginia Rich Sink. In 1952 she married Hugh I. Brown, Jr. and enjoyed almost sixty years together until his death in July 2012. Both Mr. & Mrs. Brown were lovingly cared for at Clapp’s Nursing Center and the family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff for the compassion and understanding shown to their parents during their residency and especially thanks Robin, who was very dear to Mrs. Brown. She was a finisher with Amos Hosiery Mill for over thirty years. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother. She took great pride in her home, taught her children the value of hard work, the importance of taking care of what you achieved through hard work and the joy of giving to others.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Danny Brown of Wallburg and Vicki Yarborough and husband Jimmy of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Jake, and Josh; great granddaughter, Ansley; and sister-in-law, Louise Brown of Thomasville.
