Lloyd Michael Johnson

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church on Holden Road in Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the memorial service, at the church.

Mike was born on March 3, 1943 in Dunn, NC to the late Lloyd Manly Johnson and Mabel Elizabeth Holmes Johnson. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he served as an Usher. Mike retired from Lucent Technologies after over 30 years of employment. He loved playing golf and hanging out with his golfing buddies. Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Linda Boykin Johnson of the home; his daughter, Lisa Johnson Hobbs and her husband Fred of Raleigh; sister, Betsy Johnson Woodall and her husband Charlie of Wilmington and Susie Johnson Chandler and her husband Will of Benson; nieces and nephews, and his favorite companion, his cat, Sweetie.
