Lisa Marie Oliver

Lisa Marie Oliver passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones, to be united with her Heavenly Father, who she loved so much. She was only 54 years old. She fought cancer relentlessly every day for nearly three years. Her family is deeply saddened yet assured they will reunite again one day.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.

Lisa was fearless, strong willed, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate with a heart of gold. She adored animals and rescued several of her fur babies. Spring was her favorite time of year and many days you could find her in her gardens from sunup until sundown. Lisa had the rare combination of compassion, grit and tenacity, which made her a true competitor. She and her horse, Nickastorm, “Stormy”, were the perfect team, ultimately winning a very large class at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, which is the largest single breed show in America. This huge accomplishment was a dream come true for a girl who was on horseback from the time she was a little girl. A passion she was able to share with her mother for years. We are sad for this tremendous loss but, we all find comfort knowing that she and “Stormy” are reunited once again. Lisa was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning that it would light up the entire room. She was so kind to others and made an impact on many lives. Lisa will always be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She will forever be loved and missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancé, Chris Ryan; mother, Sandra Oliver; uncle, Phil Coker (Marlene) and other extended family and friends.
