Joanie Elsey died on November 8, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on June 17, 1946 in Missouri. She was preceded in death by her sisters Janice Sue Sitzman and Karen Lou Roberts, her nephew Steven Sitzman and her parents.
She is survived by her son Robert Elsey, grandson Micheal Elsey, her brother Dan Roberts, her niece Ann Sitzman and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was an accomplished piano player, kind-hearted and an animal lover. And we're quite sure she continues to tickle the ivory keys, and is taking in a few more stray cats.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
