Leonard L. Oliver (Len) joined our Lord and Savior on July 1, 2021, surrounded by family who loved and cherished him deeply. Early in life, Len opened Lynn-Craft Woodworking to design and build custom cabinetry where he became highly sought-after and respected for his eye for detail and quality work.
Len was born on January 18, 1934 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Thomas Oliver Sr., mother Martha Leonard Oliver (Linnie), brother Fred Thomas Jr. (FT) and sister Joyce Venable (Joy). He is survived by wife Ruth Mercer Oliver of 69 years, daughters Sharon (Shay) and husband Danny Thompson and Teresa (Tess) Oliver, son Thomas (Tom) Oliver and wife Cyndy, two grandchildren, Jacob Oliver and Aidan DiMartino and seven great grandchildren.
Our family expresses our deepest gratitude to family, friends and neighbors, physicians, and caregivers at Cone Wesley Long Hospital and Beacon Place in Greensboro. A private family service was held at the Guildford Memorial Park Mausoleum at Len’s request.
