A funeral mass will be celebrated at ten o’clock on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 W Market St, Greensboro, NC 27403.
Leon was born in Providence, RI, the son of Mary Elizabeth (deceased) and Leon Therrien of Greensboro who survives him.
Known to some as L. Edward or the Big “L”, Leon is now a bright star in our universe. He graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and UNC-Charlotte where he was a member of Sounds of America and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.
Leon held sales positions with Hoover Company and Ricoh Co., formerly Ikon (23 years), with his most recent title being Global Equipment Specialist.
Blessed with a “zen” quality and a wonderful sense of humor, Leon brought many tranquil moments and laughs to all his friends and family. He gave much love and Leon will be missed dearly.
In addition to his father, Leon leaves behind his love and supportive companion of 12 years, Sharon Greene of Jamestown, NC; a brother, Thomas Therrien of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Lynn Therrien of Greensboro, NC and Karen Knowles of Providence, RI; godchild, Amberley Younts of Greensboro, NC and her loving family, Randy, Taylor and RE; and niece, Erin Zona, of North Smithfield, RI.
