I just heard about your passing, Laura.  I always thought about you and hoped we could go back to being friends.  I hope you’re dancing with the angels and having a great time with your new body!!  Hugs to you Tom and her family.  Tami

Through my roofing, I have known Laura for almost 20 years of
innumerable business transactions enhanced with happy greetings and intermittent conversations that revealed Laura to be a compassionate, cheerful, attentive, sensitive, courageous person— and, to me, a true and loyal friend.

I am grateful to her for sharing stories and having a laugh with me, 
for encouraging my teenage son, for giving our dog Harley a bowl of water and a treat.

Her glow, the tone of her voice, and the laughter always sent me away with a smile on my face.

These memories have led me to recall a Biblical passage (John 7:37-39):
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”


Throughout my teens and mid-20s I came to ABC to pickup supplies for my father's roofing business. Every time I walked in, Laura was always so joyous and encouraging to me. She always checked in on my dreams and ambitions and the latest on my current girlfriend haha! I will never forget her as a positive voice and major part of my development.

I always thought a lot of Laura and always enjoyed talking to her in the morning. She knew everyone of my kids by name and asked about them frequently. I will miss seeing her.

Lisa and I have you and Laura in our thoughts and prayers.  I'll miss Laura's smile.  I never saw her when she didn't ask about how everything was going....Lisa, my kids (who she always called by name) and the businesses.  Her warmth and caring soul will be truly missed.  Heaven now has another angel.

RIP Laura  you will  be  missed. We have alot of good  memories  with you  and  Tom.Remember having lunch with  your  mother when she  visited  you  in Greensboro. What a delightful  lady .Our condolences  to your mother  ,Tom and rest of family. 

Laura was very kind and welcomed me into her friend group at Blue Rock.... always asking about my granddaughter, Olivia.  She will be so very missed.

Laura is the kindest little fairy I ever met. No one could get past her without getting their ego boosted and their heart warmed. The only thing that seemed to make her smile disappear was unkindness. Her and Tom were constantly together, a foil to each other, but always in step. I don’t know how I will be able to return to the places I used to see her, because I know I will be expecting to be greeted with her warmth, and humor, and love.  Little things make me think of her. Rare beef, in particular. I know that is weird. Either way, she means a lot to me. 
I love you, Laura.

Laura you will be missed. But always loved. Miss hanging out with you. 

Laura was a true ray of sunshine and one of the genuinely kindest souls I've ever met.  Though some of us only know her for a short time, she left a very lasting impression on our hearts. She always had a kind word,  sweet smile and a hug whenever she came in.  

She was loved and will be greatly missed by all of us at Blue Rock Pizza & Tap.
