Laura "Ann" Phillips

Ann was born August 25th, 1942 to Robert and Louise Laughlin in Greensboro, NC. Ann lived all her life in Greensboro or the surrounding area. She was married for 53 years to Raymond Phillips, who preceded her in death in 2015. Ann was a housewife for most of her life, but went into the service industry after her children became of school age. Her last place of employment was the former Sears Catalogue Offices and Warehouse. Ann loved the Lord and was a long time and faithful member of Buchanan Baptist Church.

Ann is survived by her children Linda Curtis, Rev. Donald L. Phillips (Ronda) and Amy Smith (Jeff). Grandchildren Raymond Curtis, Carrie Ann Boles (Josh), Joseph Curtis (Eleanor), Stacey Marsh (Michael), Joshua Phillips (Amy), Brandon Smith (Chasity), Taylor Leach (Rob), and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Rissoti, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, January 4th at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home at 515 N. Elm St, Greensboro, NC and a funeral service to celebrate her life will be at 2 PM on Thursday, January 5th at Buchanan Baptist Church, 301 Buchanan Church Rd. Greensboro, NC 27405.
