Larry Vernon Stroud

Larry Vernon Stroud, 76, a resident of Jamestown passed away at High Point Regional Hospital on Wednesday July 18, 2018. He was born January 5, 1942 in High Point, the son of the late Floyd Carraway and Mary Lois Vaughn Stroud.

Larry was a graduate of High Point High School and worked in the furniture industry for many years before retiring. He was a member for all of his life of Brentwood Baptist Church, now the Crossing at High Point on Gordon Road.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Locklear Stroud of the home; daughters, Mary Ellen Stroud of Jamestown, Denise Stroud Medford and husband Chris of Trinity; son, Randy Stroud and wife Ana of New London; granddaughters, Hope Stroud, Heather Elizabeth Medford, Lilly Agee and great grandchildren, Eli and Ivy Stroud.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Crossing at High Point, 2426 Gordon Rd. High Point, NC 27265 conducted by the Reverend Chris Lockhart and the Reverend Steve Jarvis. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
