Mr. Larry Long

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel.

Mr. Long was of the Baptist faith. He was an office manager for Lifespan. Larry never met a stranger. His kindness and unselfishness will live forever. We will remember his grin as he played the guitar with his baby brother and his crooked smile as he waited for that fish to bite. Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Long and Betty Moss, step father, Homer Bartley, sister, Delores Hamilton, brother, Gary Long and nephew, Lonnie Ray Long, Jr.

Mr. Long is survived by his brothers, Lonnie Long and companion, Judy Julian of High Point, Wayne Long and wife, Connie, Dennis Long all of Tennessee, Donald Long and wife, Tenley of Myrtle Beach, SC, sister, Karen Sue Long of Winston-Salem, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
