Larry was born September 19, 1956 in Guilford County to the late Clifford T. and Mamie L. Huffman. He loved God, his church family at Northside Church of Christ and his many friends. Larry enjoyed working and running the mobile home park and operating his restaurant. Larry was an amazing man, who was comical and full of love. People say that he was one of a kind and knowing Larry he is now one of God’s special angels. He liked taking trips to the beach, putting a smiles on folk's faces, (even on their worst days), and was just an all around great guy. Larry’s best friend and loyal companion was his dog, Fudge. The connection the two shared was unexplainable. While Larry was in Moses Cone Hospital, Fudge passed away. Theirs was a bond that could only be broken by death. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Huffman and Lonnie Huffman.
Those left to cherish his memory include a sister, Bonnie Huffman; a brother, Allen Huffman; aunt, Bonnie Meeks; uncle, Chester Meeks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Clarence Edmonds who was not only Larry’s loving caregiver and loyal friend but, stayed with him to the very end.
Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel has the honor of assisting the Edmonds family.
