Ladye Frances "Fran" Pollock

Ladye Frances “Fran” Brackman Pollock, a resident of Sedgefield, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2023. She was born December 5, 1946, in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late William Clark and Dorothy Nell Boykin Brackman.

Fran was the owner of an interior design company, Elements of Design, as well as a real estate agent with the Art of Southern Realty. She was very involved with Sedgefield Woman’s Club and served as the President of GFWC-NC District 4 from 2020-2022. Additionally, she recently received many awards during her service including the 2022 Distinguished Service Award, and the GFWC-NC District 4 General Club Woman of the Year Award.

For the past twenty-four years, Fran devoted a lot of her time to her grandchildren. Known as “Grammy”, there was no greater love than what she had for them, and them for her.

She is survived by her husband, Louie “Lou” Earl Pollock, Jr. of the home; daughters, Natalie Rieschick of Franklin, TN, Kim Chalfont, (Chris) of Franklin, TN, Kathy Procter, (Whit) of Palm Coast, FL; son, Lance Pollock, (Sherry) of Greensboro; brothers, Dutch Brackman, (Minda) of Kingston Springs, TN, Chris Brackman, (Jennifer) of Athens, GA, Tommy Brackman of Bowling Green, KY; sisters, Beckye Sprouse, (Dan) of Nashville, TN, Pam Bryant of Nashville, TN, Britt Wood, (Ken) of Nashville, TN and grandchildren, Garrett Rieschick, Emily Marley, Morgan Pollock, Hannah Rieschick, Nicholas Marley, Cameron Pollock, Paige Rieschick, Ethan Chalfont, Alexis Chalfont and Tori Brock.

A Celebration of Life Service for Fran will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 15, 2023, at the Lutheran Church of our Father, 3304 Groometown Rd, Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Fran’s memory to her church home, St. John’s Anglican Church, 6722 West Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410
