Mr. Kim Po Ngo, 68, a resident of Greensboro died Wednesday June 15, 2011 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Mr. Ngo was born April 14, 1943 in Cambodia. Kim was a survivor of the “Killing Fields” in Cambodia. He came to America in 1981 and became a US citizen. He was employed with Stameys Barbecue and was a member of the Cambodian Ministry of Gate City Baptist Church. Kim was preceded in death by two sons, B.E. and Long Ngo.
He was married to Siv Hieng Kang who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home is one daughter, Nina Ngo of the home, one son, David Ngo of Raleigh and four grandchildren, Jasmine, Johnathan, Skylar and Hope.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Pont Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by Reverend Sam Duong minister of the Cambodian Ministry of Gate City Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
