Kenneth Lee Evans

Kenneth Lee Evans, 86, a lifelong resident of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. He was born October 12, 1936 in Guilford County to the late Jack Evans and Alma Hiatt Evans. Ken served in the United States Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Korean War, which in turn earned him a Purple Heart Medal. He was highly skilled in electronics and was an accomplished businessman for 40 years as owner/operator of Electronix of NC. Ken was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Jean; his daughters, Debra Farrar (Tony), Jan Coleman, Sharon Strubel (John); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his beloved Yorkie, Dazey, who was “Pawpaw’s little girl.”

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407, with Pastor Ken Klein and Jeff Webster officiating. Family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 am.

Kenneth will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park Sedgefield Mausoleum, immediately following the funeral services.
