Kathy Cartledge Childress

Kathy Cartledge Childress, 65 of Randleman, NC died Friday, August 5, 2022, at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, with Pastor Ray Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O’Henry Boulevard.

A native of Greensboro, Kathy was the daughter of the late Jerry Dane and Opal Hudgins Cartledge. She worked in the Guilford County School system for 15 years. Kathy was incredibly devoted mom to her two sons, Christopher and Hunter. She was at every sporting event, choral performance, and awards ceremonies, supporting them every way she could. Friends Kathy made throughout her life were special to her. She cherished the opportunity to congratulate on milestones, support during challenges and never missed wishing happy birthday to those special to her.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Christopher Childress, Hunter Childress and wife, Allison, and her granddaughter, Emerson Grace Childress. She will be missed by her many special friends as well.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
