Kathryn Diane Carr, 64, a resident of Martinsville, Virginia and a former resident of Greensboro, NC passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2018. She was born August 7, 1954 in Greenville, Tennessee, the daughter of Fred and Kate Brown Phillips.
Kathryn was a former manager with Dollar General Stores.
She was married to Gary Linwood Carr who preceded her in death on December 20, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Stephen Poole.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bruning and husband Rick of Greensboro, NC; sons, Jonathan Poole of Greensboro, NC, James Lee Wright and wife Gidget of High Point, NC; step-son, G.W. Carr of VA; her mother, Kate Poole of Greensboro, NC and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407, conducted by the Reverend Eugene Dean.
Memorials can be made in Kathryn’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
