Kathleen Poteat Busick

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 12,11:00 am at Guilford Memorial Park.

Kathleen was born on March 25, 1919 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of Allen Poteat Sr. and Pearl Shores. She and her late husband, Russell James Busick owned and operated the Busick Jewelry Store in Ramseur, NC for many years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Ramseur. She enjoyed needle point and playing Bingo. She was a self taught painter, even though right handed; she painted with her left hand.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 1974. Also preceding her in death are her siblings: Allen J. Poteat Jr., Otis Poteat, Opal Bass, and Worth Poteat. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Richard J. Busick, Russell W. Busick and wife Linda; sister, Joan Lee and husband Leonard; grandchildren, James Busick and wife Jana and Ashley Busick.
