Julius B. Drake, 92, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Hospice Home in High Point. J.B. was born on October 31, 1924 in Maxton, NC, the son of Julius L. and Donnie Summerlin Drake. He worked with Western Electric (AT&T) until his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
J.B. was a humble servant of God. Throughout his life he provided unconditional love to his family and everyone he met was a friend.
J.B. is survived by his children; George Drake (Debbie), Dianne Drake Staron and Bruce Drake; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 am at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Rev. Russ Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home
