Joseph David Varsamis

Joe was born in Greensboro and was the son of George William and Kay Womack Varsamis. In his high school days he enjoyed playing football and bodybuilding. He graduated from Grimsley High School and Appalachian State University. His intellect led him to be an A+ Computer Technician, manager of Action Video, but his love was teaching the BED Students at Page High School.

His Greek Orthodox roots brought him great joy which he shared with friends and family, and noted by their comments of him being a very loving, joyful, and family oriented young man.

Joe was preceded in death by his father George W. Varsamis and is survived by his mother Kay Womack Varsamis; brothers, Bill (Shelly) Varsamis of Morganton, NC; Mike (Jamie) Varsamis of Greensboro; niece, Brynne Varsamis; nephews, Ben Varsamis, Caleb Peterson, Jamison Stowe, and Levi Meeks.
