Joseph Daniel Friscia, 74, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday April 17, 2022 in the Moses H. Cone Health Center. He was born October 5, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York the son of the late Joseph and Carmela Nancy Lombardo Friscia.
Joseph worked as a finance manager for many automobile groups throughout his career while providing loving care for his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was a selfless man that did everything in his power to make sure his family was well taken care of and were never taken advantage of. He will truly be missed and is now resting in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Henry Friscia of the home; one daughter, Samantha Danielle Friscia and husband Tariq Atkins of High Point; one son, Joseph Robert Friscia and his wife Janie Nguyen of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Jonathan McCain, Tariq Atkins, Jr., Karden Chen, Anthony Burke, Samiyrah Atkins, Cameron Atkins; one great grandchild, Oaklynn Bellemy and two cousins, Robert Mastronardi of PA and Diane Pietrofesa of Long Island, NY.
The family will be at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Thursday April 21st from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. There will be a service beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
On Thursday April 28th there will be a committal service held at 2:00 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury with Military Honors conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
