Jonathan was born in Greensboro to Robert and Melessa Martin on August 23, 1982. He was an avid Tarheel fan. He volunteered many hours with a local boxer rescue organization.
Jonathan is survived by his parents; sister, Shannon Grey Martin of Manhattan and Kathryn Blair Martin of Greensboro, and his fiancée, Amy Katherine Little of Chapel Hill.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home (515 N. Elm Street) from 6:00-8:00pm.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Daystar Church (908 Westover Terrace) at 3:30pm with Dr. Allen Holmes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Four Seasons Boxer Rescue, PO Box 86, Climax, NC 27233 in memory of Jonathan and his beloved boxer, Sampson.
