John Salvatore D'Italia

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 29th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. John Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors.

John was born in Brooklyn, NY on Aug. 11, 1950, the son of Michael and Rosalie Conti D’Italia. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Following his military service, he worked with the US Postal Service. John moved to North Carolina to be closer to his loving family. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Jessica D'Italia and fiance' Thomas Dietz and Stracy D'Italia Lord and husband Samuel; grandsons, Blake D'Italia, Ayden Lord, Evan Lord and mother of his daughers, Dawn Gilley.
