It is with great sadness we announce that on June 1, 2021 Joan Marie (Hebert) Chandler passed away due to heart complications.
Joan is preceded in death by her granddaughter Heather Pruitt. Joan is survived by her husband of 66 years, George Chandler, her daughter Denise Wells, her husband Bruce and children Timothy, Brian and Kimberly (Nicholas), her daughter Diane Chandler, her husband Doug Benham and children Claire and Sona Benham, her daughter Karen Pruitt, her husband David and great grandson Cameron Pruitt.
Joan always put her family first and even in her final days in the hospital she made sure to wish her granddaughter a Happy Birthday.
Joan was a talented quilter, knitter and seamstress and always had projects in the works for her daughters and grandchildren.
There are no events planned as she did not wish to have services.
Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor. Joan was a type one diabetic for 55 years and despite the odds lived to the age of 87.
