Jessica Anne Richards

Jessica Anne Richards, 35, peacefully departed this life June 23, 2016 at her home. Jessica was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 21, 1980. She was a resident of the Triad area for most of her life, graduating from Southwest Guilford High School in 1998. She is predeceased by maternal grandparents Howard and Jacqueline Walton, fraternal grandparents Murray and Emily Senkus, and sister Christi Johnson. She is survived by her fiancé Robert Andrews, son Tyler Richards, daughter Ava Hodges, mother and stepfather Kay and Thomas Gordon, father David Senkus, brothers Jeremy Senkus and Jeffrey Senkus, and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Jessica loved outdoor activities of all types, a testament to the vigor and joy with which she lived. She was full of love for her many friends, reaching out to them often with support and help. Jessica deeply loved her children and worked tirelessly to make a comfortable, loving home for them and seeing to their every need. The Earth has lost a beautiful soul. The Heavens are enriched by her presence there.

The family will receive visitors at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, Tuesday, July 5, from 6-8 PM. A service celebrating Jessica’s life will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 2 PM at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
